Evauation of my Preliminary Task

Whilst filming we hit a few distractions and disputes which put us back, but we were able to catch up within our second session. Half way through filming we had to change rooms, which complicated our filming even more due to the fact our one eighty rule had to change and we had to re shoot most of our original footage. Using the equipment wasn't much of a challenge, but it allowed us all to get accustomed to different camera makes and their stands, and due to this we had to change our original ideas for our task.

The original idea was to many more close ups of the Zombie, but seeing how we had to mange our time very well, we had to re-create the storyboard to replicate the finished task. We also had to re film a few lines of dialogue because we were breaking the 180 degree rule, we also had to re film our match on action with opening a door as both shots were taken using different doors and we decided as a group to re film within our own time.

Me and my group argued, a lot which annoyed us all and set us back a lot with our filming schedule which then allowed less time for editing. Although we did finish there were many disputes to what shot to use and where the 180 degree rule would be. Listening to each other was the biggest task that we had to go through, but we did towards the end and we produced our task for the deadline.

I didn't feel like we were prepared, although we were on paper as we had created a story board and i had written out the script, i don't think we were ready to work with each other for a part of coursework, which is why the arguments and loss of time occured. Towards the end of our first sesson i began to realise the problems and so little by little i settled the arguments and controled the enviroment and took the final say as to where the camera would be placed to save yet another argument occuring. Seeing how i have worked within this enviroment before, i was familiar with directing and also acting infornt of a camera and the stress that occurs from having little time to film and to get it right, so i took my knowledge and applied it to allowing my group to somwhat 'put up' with eachother until the filimg was done.
